Hi, I'm Anne, your Hampton Roads, VA Doula!

I have a strong passion for supporting families during pregnancy, labor, & postpartum.  My goal is to support you in having an informed and respected birth experience, as well as to provide a calm and reassuring presence.

I believe that everyone should have the guidance and encouragement to birth and parent in the way that best meets their needs & values. Being informed of your options, speaking up for yourself, and preparing your mind are all keys to a satisfying and empowering birth experience.

I am committed to getting to know you throughout your pregnancy, and creating a close relationship with you before that special day. It would be an honor to support & comfort you during these most intimate and sacred moments of your life!

"Anne is such a knowledgeable and kind woman- being a doula is just in her blood! I am so thankful that I found her! The support she offers even after birth is amazing and very welcomed for this first time mom! She is such a loving and wonderful person and I have grown to love her over my journey from pregnancy to post-partum and beyond!" - K. T.

A little more about me:

I grew up in a small town called Merrill, Michigan. I have lived in Virginia since 2007. I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy, in which I served 6 years as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Handler.

After separating from the Navy in 2013, I worked as a birth doula, stay-at-home mother, and college student for 3 years. I now have a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management and an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development.

In February 2023, I completed 700 hours of Massage Therapy education at Cayce/Reilly School of Massage.

I received my Massage Therapy license from the VA Board of Nursing in May 2023.

I currently work part-time as a Nutrition Care Coordinator at Option Care, helping patients who are on feeding tubes and receive enteral nutrition therapy.

I have experience and knowledge in the topics of babywearing, cloth diapering, breastfeeding, and car seat safety.

I have two beautiful children whom I enjoy spending a lot of time with! My son Tylor is 13 and my daughter Addison is 11.

I gave birth on July 2nd, 2019 to a handsome little boy for another family, as a surrogate. It was a goal of mine to be a surrogate and it was a life-changing & incredible journey.

In my spare time, I love to go to the beach, play beach volleyball, go hiking, do yoga, swim, read, and stand-up paddleboard.
