As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I specialize in prenatal and postpartum bodywork for women.
My main focus is on the much-deserved comfort and relaxation for mothers during such a demanding time in their lives. Using gentle, supportive, & compassionate touch helps to ease stress, promote muscle tension release, and calms your nervous system. ​

Prenatal Massage
75 minutes - $90

I have been trained and certified to perform prenatal massage during all trimesters of pregnancy.

There has been plenty of research proving the benefits of prenatal massage, including but not limited to:
​
- Decreased stress and anxiety
- Improved sleep
- Improved blood circulation
- Oxygenation to muscles and tissues
- Reduction in pain in the low back, hips and legs
- Regulation of hormones
- Reduce swelling and edema
- Decrease in labor pain and possible shorter labors
​
- As your baby grows, I will modify your position to side-lying and/or laying face up and reclined, with legs supported. I use various cushions, pillows, and bolsters to keep you comfortable.
​
- Active-resisted stretches, myofascial & Swedish techniques, and Foot Reflexology can be used to help ready your body for labor and ease aches and pains.
​
- If possible, I like to offer a whole body massage experience, especially during pregnancy. I will ensure a safe and effective massage that will leave you feeling relaxed, nurtured, supported, whole, and hopefully connected to your body and baby!
Postpartum Massage

I offer massage for all women, whether they have been pregnant before or not, or are in any stage of postpartum (the months and years after birth).

- I can do a full body massage, or we can focus on any specific areas that you choose. - I start with light pressure, allowing the tissues to warm up, then move into medium or firm pressure, using various Swedish & Myofascial techniques.
​
- Assisted stretches and Range of Motion techniques can also be incorporated.
​
- If you have recently had a cesarean section, epidural, and/or are breastfeeding, your positions for the session will be discussed and adjusted for your body's comfort and best healing process.
Mobile Massage Services
60 minutes - $130

- Massage can be even more relaxing in the comfort of your own home! If you are pregnant or have a new baby, this may be just what you need! Breastfeeding while side-lying or reclined on the massage table is also an option if your baby needs you during your session!

- Available to homes in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk.
​
- You must have an open room that has enough floor space to fit a twin-sized bed. This will give me enough space to move around my table.
​
- I will arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the start of your session, to bring in my table/supplies and set up. It will take me about 10 -15 minutes to pack everything up after the session as well.
Labor Induction Massage
2 hours (in hospital) - $170
- If you & your provider make the decision to schedule an induction, you can request for me to arrive at the hospital within the first few hours of the induction process. This is scheduled with me in advance.

- Massage is a wonderful way to help your mind & body relax at the beginning of your induction process, and potentially even help kickstart labor contractions!
​
- You will receive approximately 90-120 minutes of massage in the L&D bed, changing positions as needed for your comfort. The goal is to help you fall asleep and/or rest well before labor begins!
(The massage may be interrupted intermittently if nurses or medical providers need your attention).
​
- A health intake form is required to be filled out the day of your induction massage. Any health risks/complications will be discussed with your provider prior to the massage session in case there are any contraindications for massage or areas to avoid.

"I have known Anne for years, but just had my first massage with her. HOLY. MOLY. I will absolutely be back. First, she is incredibly thorough. She actively listens to your responses and doesn't forget a thing. Second, she is also just so peaceful and serene. You can just feel yourself coming down a few notches almost instantly.
