I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in massage for women, including during the prenatal and postpartum periods. After working as a birth doula starting in 2013, I decided to attend the Cayce Reilly School of Massotherapy in 2022. I have always found myself using my hands to comfort women during labor. I knew since High School that I was interested in massage therapy, and this seemed like the perfect timing to add massage services to my doula work! I graduated from massage school in February 2023, and received my massage therapy license from the Virginia Board of Nursing in May 2023.
I am so excited and honored to be providing massage services, with a focus on relaxation, to all women, specializing in prenatal and postpartum bodywork! I use a mix of Swedish and Myofascial techniques, and have been trained in foot reflexology.
I currently offer massage services at a beautiful space in The Juniper House.
It is located at:
929 Ventures Way #108, Chesapeake, VA 23320
**As my doula client, you will receive one free 90 minute prenatal massage and one free 60 minute postpartum massage!**
I offer massage in your home on a case-by-case basis. A fee of $50 is added for mobile massage. Contact me for details!
60 minutes - $60
(Non-pregnant clients only)
This is a fast-paced, full body 60 min massage that blends 3 different techniques: Swedish, Osteopathic, and Neuropathic. This unique massage offers a trademark blend of massage strokes, stretching, and gentle vibrations of the abdominal organs & endocrine glands. It begins with the left arm, and proceeds with attention to all the major muscle groups & limbs, as well as the abdomen, torso, and back. The strokes are performed in a specific sequence with an emphasis on relaxing and balancing the body's nervous system.
*You can request any area of the body to be skipped during any massage.

I offer massage for all women, whether they have been pregnant before or not, or are in any stage of postpartum (the months and years after birth). I can do a full body massage for relaxation, or we can focus on any specific problem areas that you choose. I use a light to firm pressure, using various Swedish and Myofascial techniques. I do not offer Deep Tissue techniques. I can help with assisted stretches and range of motion of joints as well!

I have been trained and certified to perform prenatal massage during all stages of pregnancy. There has been plenty of research proving the benefits of prenatal massage, including but not limited to:
-Decreased stress and anxiety
-Improved blood circulation
-Oxygenation to muscles and tissues
-Reduction in pain in the low back, hips and legs
-Regulation of hormones
-Reduce swelling and edema
-Decrease in labor pain and possible shorter labors
As your baby grows, I will modify your position to side-lying or laying face up and reclined. I use various cushions, pillows, and bolsters to keep you comfortable. Active-resisted stretches, myofascial & Swedish techniques, and Foot Reflexology can be used to help ready your body for labor and ease aches and pains. If possible, I like to offer a whole body massage experience, especially during pregnancy. I will ensure a safe and effective massage that will leave you feeling relaxed, nurtured, supported, whole, and hopefully connected to your body and baby!

"I have known Anne for years, but just had my first massage with her. HOLY. MOLY. I will absolutely be back. First, she is incredibly thorough. She actively listens to your responses and doesn't forget a thing. Second, she is also just so peaceful and serene. You can just feel yourself coming down a few notches almost instantly. Third, her technique is fabulous. I usually opt for deep tissue because it's the only thing that ever seems to make a difference in how I feel. I can 100% say that I feel better than I have in a very long time and I didn't limp to my truck. I have had a lump at the base of my neck for quite some time now, and I assumed it was just par for the aging course, especially with chronic pain and illness...Well whaddaya know? I have a COMPLETELY normal neckline!!! After ONE session. That didn't hurt or make me even slightly uncomfortable. I can't believe it! When I say I will be back, I mean like, I wanna come back next week. Absolutely recommend her and have no idea why on earth I waited so long when I've known her forever!"
